The Gainesville Master Chorale & Orchestra under the baton of Will Kesling will present Eliane Hagenberg’s Illuminare on texts by some of the most noted early Christian minds. Saint Ambrose, Hildegard von Bingen, Saint Gregory, and others. The work is simple, beautiful, and sumptuous with tender melodies.
In stark contrast, we will also present Choruses Too Hot to Handel. Hear choruses rarely heard from some of Handel’s famous oratorios like “How Excellent Thy Name” from Saul, “Awake the Trumpet’s Lofty Sound” from Samson, “Alleluia” from Joseph and His Brethren, “Hallelujah” from Occasional Oratorio, and more.

Titled "A World of Joy", the Master Chorale joined with the University of Florida School of Music to celebrate multiple seasonal holidays in seven languages, including Chinese, Hebrew, and Swahili. The concert ended with all performers on stage for the traditional "Hallelujah" chorus from Handel's "Messiah".

A celebration of the birth of Alexander von Humboldt, featuring music encompassing and tying together themes involving earth, air, fire, water, and wildlife. In collaboration with the Florida Museum of Natural History, we celebrated the foremost scientist of his time and his global perspective on conservation and ecology, and how all aspects of life are intricately woven together.
Under the direction of Dr. Cory Alexander, we explored the music that Leonardo da Vinci would have heard during his life in northern Italy. Marking the 500th year since Leonardo’s death, we performed music by Leonardo’s contemporaries and compared it with music by composers of our own time.
LUX: The Dawn From On High by Dan Forrest is a five-movement work that explores various facets of LUX (Latin for “light”), in texts ranging from ancient liturgical chant to Scripture to modern secular love poetry.
