All Gainesville Master Chorale performances are free to the public so that everyone can enjoy the music. However, we do incur significant expenses for the purchase of musical scores, advertising, salaries for our conductor and rehearsal accompanists, and the hiring of instrumentalists for our performances.
The minimal cost for a concert is $8,000, and costs associated with a large orchestra and soloists can easily run to more than $12,000.
To cover these costs, the GMC is supported by dues from our members, arts grants, advertisements placed in our concert brochures, and donations from community members and friends of the arts such as yourself. Donations of any size are gratefully accepted either in person, by mail, or through several other avenues.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, your donation also may be eligible for a federal income tax donation.
Please see the information below for details on the various donation options available. And from the entire membership, thank you for your continued support of the Gainesville Master Chorale.
Your attendance is most appreciated!
Without you, our concerts would mean little. It is for you, our faithful friends in music, that we perform. Your presence not only brings us joy, but also assists us in obtaining future grants permitting us to continue to perform at the level you expect.

Your legacy gift can have a lasting impact and may be as simple as naming The Gainesville Master Chorale as a beneficiary in your will, trust, life insurance policies, retirement plan, and other assets. Donations to our endowment fund are not spent; instead, they are invested. The choir will receive interest from the investment of the funds. In this way, gifts to the endowment live on in perpetuity.
